Eldorado's Duran claims Gatorade award

Eldorado High School boys soccer star Ruben Duran was named the Gatorade Nevada Boys Soccer Player of the Year on Wednesday.
Duran, a senior midfielder/forward, led the Sundevils (18-3-1) to their first region/zone title since 1994 and a Class 4A state semifinal berth. He has a weighted 4.25 grade-point average and has signed to play at Cal Poly.
The award recognizes athletic and academic excellence.
