ROUNDUP: Benavente, Wals power Trailblazers past Diamondbacks

Ryan Benavente and Wasajja Wals each had a goal and an assist Tuesday to lead Durango’s boys soccer team to a 5-1 home win over Desert Oasis.

German Velarde, Marcos Alejo and Erick Perez each supplied a goal for the Trailblazers.

Uriel Gamboa scored for the Diamondbacks.

Sierra Vista 4, Spring Valley 0 — At Sierra Vista, Jorge Echavarria and Milan Popovic each scored two goals as the Mountain Lions blanked the Grizzlies.

Jorge Garcia made six saves en route to the shutout for Sierra Vista.

Bonanza 3, Clark 3 — At Clark, Juan Regalado scored three goals to help the Chargers earn a tie with the Bengals.

Dominic Piazza scored two goals, and Juan Soto added a goal for Bonanza.

Bishop Gorman 12, Pahrump Valley 0 — At Pahrump, Mike Tonetti had three goals, and Nick Wesen and Trace Doehrmann each scored twice as the Gaels routed the Trojans.

Rian McEvoy added a goal and three assists, and Austin Moore and Sean Keith each had a goal and two assists for Gorman, which also got goals from Nolan Fuchs and Nick Mallas.

Thomas Olsen was in goal for the shutout.

Centennial 3, Cimarron-Memorial 1 — At Cimarron, Christian Amarillo, Jesus Zacarias and Phillip Hopper each scored a second-half goal as the Bulldogs rallied past the Spartans.

Luis Ruiz tallied Cimarron’s goal.

Palo Verde 9, Shadow Ridge 0 — At Shadow Ridge, A.J. Henry and Alexander Shackley each scored three goals as the Panthers blitzed the Mustangs.

Jose Silva, Tommy Wojociechowski and Nicholas Lee also scored for Palo Verde, and Shackley added two assists.

Josh Dinsmore was in goal to claim the shutout.

Mojave 2, Faith Lutheran 2 — At Mojave, Roosevelt Solis scored twice to help the Rattlers tie the Crusaders.

Todd Tomburo had a goal and an assist for Faith Lutheran, and teammate D’Khari Hicks also scored.

Cheyenne 2, Arbor View 0 — At Cheyenne, Eric Barajas and Jackson Collins each scored a goal to lead the Desert Shields past the Aggies.

Daniel Diaz recorded 10 saves to earn the shutout for Cheyenne.

The Meadows 2, Moapa Valley 1 — At The Meadows, Corin Galati’s goal with 10 minutes remaining allowed the Mustangs to rally past the Pirates.

Manny Lindaur’s goal gave Moapa Valley a 1-0 halftime lead.

Matthew Hodapp tied the match in the second half on an assist from Galati.

Boulder City 3, Virgin Valley 1 — At Boulder City, Daniel Andrades had two goals and an assist to lead the Eagles past the Bulldogs.

Massimo Barbieri added a goal for Boulder City.

Tony Villalobos tallied Virgin Valley’s goal.

Faith Lutheran 4, Virgin Valley 0 — At Mesquite, Charlotte Vancura, Ashleigh Williamson, Jessica

Forage and Emily Neighbors each scored a goal to lead the Crusaders past the Bulldogs.

Kelly Zufall made two saves en route to the shutout.

Moapa Valley 10, Adelson School 2 — At Overton, the Pirates bolted to a 7-2 halftime lead and blitzed the Lions.

Makenna Jansen and Kelsi Slee scored for Adelson School.
