ROUNDUP: Doubles teams help Eldorado girls capture first Northeast title

The doubles teams of Abby Marasigan and Margeaux Martinez, and Leslie Rodriguez and Yoli Carrillo each went 3-0 on Monday as Eldorado’s girls tennis team secured its first Northeast League title since league play began in 1999 with an 11-7 win at Valley.
Dora Carrillo and Yunuen Cuitan went 2-1 in doubles for the Sundevils, who will be the Northeast’s top seed in the Sunrise Region tournament.
Alex Miteva and Brooke Harding each went 3-0 in singles for Valley.
Palo Verde 17, Centennial 1 — At Palo Verde, Victoire Saperstein and Tia Okano each went 3-0 in singles as the Panthers secured the Northwest League’s top seed for the Sunset Region tournament by blitzing the Bulldogs.
Bishop Gorman 15, Clark 3 — At Gorman, the doubles teams of Addie Gardner and Lexi Sorrentino, and Erica Silvestri and Kelsie McMillan each went 3-0 to help the Gaels cruise past the Chargers and clinch the Southwest League’s top seed for the Sunset Region tournament.
Coronado 18, Tech 0 — At Coronado, the doubles teams of Laura Chupinski and Marlee Allison, and Sarah Pate and Natalie Clock each went 3-0 to lead the Cougars’ sweep of the Roadrunners.
Coronado wrapped up the Southeast League’s top seed for the Sunrise tourney.
Spring Valley 10, Sierra Vista 8 — At Spring Valley, Tiffany Tavares and Sierra Weyer each went 3-0 in singles as the Grizzlies edged the Mountain Lions.
Tiffany O’Hannan and Chau Tu were 3-0 in doubles for Spring Valley.
Desert Oasis 14, Western 4 — At Desert Oasis, Jaynie Conner was 2-0 in singles as the Diamondbacks pushed past the Warriors.
Jessica Albarro and Savanna Spears went 2-0 in doubles for Desert Oasis.
Cierra White was 3-0 in singles for Western.
Foothill 13, Del Sol 5 — At Foothill, Cloe Zubka went 3-0 in singles as the Falcons dispatched the Dragons.
Lilly Nettles and Elisha Espejo each went 2-0 in singles for Foothill.
Silverado 13, Green Valley 5 — At Silverado, Jordan Minnick and Katie Barker each went 3-0 in singles as the Skyhawks downed the Gators.
The doubles teams of Rachael Williams and Ashley Tarchione, and Ari Monturio and Danielle Parven were 3-0 for Silverado.
Bonanza 11, Durango 7 — At Bonanza, Emma Nelson and Marnie Nelson went 3-0 in doubles as the Bengals edged the Trailblazers.
Christina Sanders was 3-0 in singles for Durango.
Moapa Valley 10, Chaparral 8 — At Chaparral, Holly Rust and Alex Waite were 3-0 in doubles to help the Pirates edge the Cowboys.
Sanne vanHoogmoed went 2-0 in singles to help Moapa Valley.
Jenna Anderson went 3-0 in singles to lead Chaparral, and teammate Cassandra Rendon was 2-0 in singles.
Las Vegas 15, Sunrise Mountain 3 — At Las Vegas High, Selena Torres went 3-0 in singles, and the Wildcats swept the nine doubles sets to blitz the Miners.
The doubles teams of Erika Brunner and Janae Martinez, Maritza Del Rio and Leila Ortega, and Claudia Puentes and Ashley Ortiz each went 3-0 for Las Vegas.
Liberty 13, Basic 5 — At Liberty, Kassidy Mangual was 3-0 in singles as the Patriots downed the Wolves.
Rancho 14, Desert Pines 4 —At Desert Pines, the Rams downed the Jaguars.
Desert Pines’ doubles teams of Karina Campos and Ayde Murillo, and Mekham Singkhamta and Luz Arvizu each went 2-1.
Canyon Springs 10, Adelson School 9 — At Canyon Springs, the Pioneers captured four of the six 12-point tiebreakers to nip the Lions.
Christian Earl was 3-0 in singles to lead Canyon Springs.
The doubles team of Shaina Tarter and Olivia Winer was 3-0 for Adelson School.
