Paris Estrada scored two goals Thursday to help Durango’s boys soccer team claim the Southwest League’s final spot in the Sunset Region playoffs with a 4-1 win at Western.
Wasajja Wals added a goal and an assist, and Ryan Benavente also scored for the Trailblazers, who won on Tuesday to stay alive but still began the day in sixth place in the Southwest, two points behind both Bonanza and Western.
Marvin Rosales scored the Warriors’ lone goal.
Bishop Gorman 4, Bonanza 1 — At Bonanza, Mike Tonetti, Jorge Paez, Nick Wesen and Trace Doehrmann each had a goal as the Gaels topped the Bengals.
Eduardo Ramirez scored for Bonanza.
Legacy 4, Shadow Ridge 2 — At Shadow Ridge, Eric Bojado and Julio Uribe both netted two goals as the Longhorns erased a 2-1 halftime deficit against the Mustangs and clinched the Northwest League title.
Blake Damato scored both goals for Shadow Ridge.
Palo Verde 2, Centennial 1 — At Centennial, Anthony Kougias scored, and the Panthers took advantage of an own goal to build a 2-0 halftime lead and hold off the Bulldogs.
Blake Frischknecht scored to pull Centennial within a goal.
Clark 4, Sierra Vista 3 — At Clark, Juan Regalado scored four goals as the Chargers nipped the Mountain Lions.
Oliver Chavez had two assists for Clark.
Miles McRae scored twice, and Jorge Echavarria added a goal for Sierra Vista, which got two assists from Milan Popovic.
Cimarron-Memorial 5, Faith Lutheran 1 — At Cimarron, Garrick Quackenbush totaled two goals and an assist, and Oso Valencia added a goal and an assist as the Spartans routed the Crusaders.
Johnny Grieco and Riley Johnson also scored for Cimarron.
Tristan Tomburo scored for Faith Lutheran.
Mojave 1, Shadow Ridge 0 — At Mojave, Ondrej Lengyel’s second-half goal accounted for all of the scoring as the Rattlers blanked the Aggies.
Gulmaro Falcon was in goal for the shutout for Mojave.
Spring Valley 0, Desert Oasis 0 — At Desert Oasis, the Diamondbacks and the Grizzlies played to a scoreless tie.
Antonio Velasquez was in goal for Spring Valley, and David Fernandez was the keeper for Desert Oasis.
Boulder City 5, Adelson School 1 — At Boulder City, Troy Hamilton had two goals and an assist as the Eagles downed the Lions.
Derrick Howard, Ryan McQuillan and Daniel Andrades also scored for Boulder City.
Mendy Berrebi scored for Adelson School.
GIRLS
Faith Lutheran 6, Adelson School 0 — At Faith Lutheran, Taylor Pori had a goal and an assist to help the Crusaders down the Lions.
Morgan Bracey, Jessica Forage, Hannah Warner, Emily Neighbors and Kendall Pori each added a goal for Faith Lutheran.
Kelly Zufall made three saves en route to the shutout.
