ROUNDUP: Foothill boys ride doubles to tiebreaker win at Tech

Foothill’s boys tennis team rode the strength of its doubles pairings into a tiebreaker Tuesday before clawing out a 10-9 win at Tech.
The teams split the 18 regulation sets and each won three of the six 12-point tiebreakers, but the Falcons outscored the Roadrunners, 39-37 in the tiebreaker to claim the win.
Foothill’s doubles teams of Andreis Castronova and Ben Wallace, Seth Tanner and Alec Wadkins, and Bligh Madris and Tyler Vanstone each went 3-0.
Carlos Delgadillo, Zachary Witt and Christian Valle each went 3-0 in singles for Tech.
Basic 14, Silverado 4 — At Silverado, Ian Casasola was 3-0 in singles as the Wolves upended the Skyhawks.
Kyle Silva and Ryan Weldon went 3-0 in doubles for Basic.
Coronado 17, Green Valley 1 — At Coronado, Andy Durand went 3-0 in singles and Dylan Ihmels went 2-1 as the Cougars easily handled the Gators.
Liberty 14, Boulder City 4 — At Boulder City, Kih Gourrier and Charles Custer went 3-0 in doubles as the Patriots cruised past the Eagles.
Palo Verde 17, Legacy 1 — At Palo Verde, Zach Surmacz, Rhett Bossung, and Pascal Nilsson each went 2-0 in singles to lead the Panthers to a rout of the Longhorns.
The doubles teams of Alex Karbowniczek and Richie Jackson, and Tanner Berkabile and Ozzy Abraham each went 2-0 for Palo Verde.
Eldorado 11, Moapa Valley 7 — At Eldorado, Alan Ibarra was 2-0 in singles to pace the Sundevils to a win over the Pirates.
Camden Stratton and Kade Bryant were 3-0 in doubles for Moapa Valley.
Chaparral 12, Rancho 6 — At Rancho, Weston Lawrence went 3-0 in singles as the Cowboys defeated the Rams.
Rohan Gupte and Jon Carnate were 3-0 in doubles for Rancho.
Cimarron-Memorial 15, Del Sol 3 — At Cimarron, Taylor Larsen and James Salls were 2-0 in doubles as the Spartans blitzed the Dragons.
Valley 12, Canyon Springs 0 — The Vikings won by forfeit.
Desert Pines at Sunrise Mountain — The Jaguars’ match against the Miners was a double forfeit as neither team could field the requisite six players.
