ROUNDUP: Frischknecht delivers late to send Bulldogs past Panthers

Blake Frischknecht snapped a 1-1 tie, cashing in on a pass from Chance Rosa, to net the winning goal with 12 minutes left Tuesday and lift Centennial’s boys soccer team to a 2-1 win over host Palo Verde.

Rosa scored Centennial’s first goal in the second half on an assist from Christian Amarillo to tie the game at 1-1.

Anthony Kougias scored for Palo Verde.

Sierra Vista 2, Clark 1 — At Sierra Vista, Truitt Evans’ goal with 15 minutes left in the first half broke a 1-1 tie and lifted the Mountain Lions past the Chargers.

Jorge Echavarria converted a penalty kick for Sierra Vista’s other goal.

Juan Regalado scored for Clark.

Spring Valley 1, Desert Oasis 1 — At Spring Valley, Joey Padfield’s goal two minutes into the second half gave the Grizzlies a short-lived lead before the Diamondbacks rallied for a tie.

Tristan Schoonmaker answered for Desert Oasis just four minutes after Padfield’s marker.

Bishop Gorman 4, Bonanza 1 — At Gorman, Mike Tonetti scored two goals as the Gaels took a 3-0 lead at halftime and cruised to a win over the Bengals.

Sean Keith and J.P. Kennedy also scored for Gorman. 

Adonis Oldenburg had a goal for Bonanza.

Western 2, Durango 0 — At Durango, Alfredo Corona tallied a goal and an assist as the Warriors blanked the Trailblazers.

Diego Rameriez also scored for Western.

Reynaldo Sanchez recorded a four-save shutout for the Warriors.

Arbor View 3, Mojave 1 — At Arbor View, Christian Jaramillo had a goal and an assist to help the Aggies to a victory over the Rattlers.

Hunter Hill and Ephrem Waite also scored for Arbor View.

Ceno Cuahutemoc scored Mojave’s goal.

Legacy 6, Shadow Ridge 1 — At Legacy, Saul Aguirre tallied two goals and an assist as the Longhorns cruised past the Mustangs.

Jorge Gonzales scored two goals, and Antonio Velasquez added a goal and two assists for Legacy.

Ismael Gomez also scored for the Longhorns, who got two assists from Eric Bojado.

Blake Damato tallied Shadow Ridge’s goal.

Cimarron-Memorial 5, Faith Lutheran 1 — At Faith Lutheran, Oso Valencia scored two goals as the Spartans topped the Crusaders.

Jordan Morino added a goal and had an assist for Cimarron. Luis Ruiz and Jose Ascencio also scored for the Spartans, who got two assists from Gera Zacarias.

Sam Stevens scored Faith Lutheran’s goal.

Eldorado 9, Del Sol 3 — At Eldorado, Ruben Duran had two goals and three assists to help the Sundevils rout the Dragons.

Anthony Murrillo scored twice for Eldorado, which got a goal apiece from Edgar Duran, Jesse Marta, Ono Meza, Francisco Santiago and Jose Mendoza.

Gerardo Aguilar had two goals and teammate Babacor Coulibaly also scored for Del Sol.

Virgin Valley 3, Moapa Valley 2 — At Mesquite, Danny Medina had two goals and an assist as the Bulldogs built a 3-0 lead and held off the Pirates.

John To also scored for Virgin Valley, which got two assists from Gabe Medina.

Josh Omer and Manny Lindauer netted Moapa Valley’s goals.

Boulder City 2, The Meadows 0 — At The Meadows, Troy Hamilton scored twice in the final 10 minutes to give the Eagles a victory over the Mustangs.

Victor Andrades posted a three-save shutout for Boulder City.

GIRLS

Boulder City 2, Moapa Valley 1 — At Overton, Tasja Toumasis and Janika Ross each scored second-half goals, both on assists from Jeanette McQuillan, as the Eagles rallied to nip the Pirates.

Cindy Meyer’s goal gave Moapa Valley a 1-0 halftime lead.

Pahrump Valley JV 4, Virgin Valley 0 — At Mesquite, Pahrump’s junior varsity posted a win over the Bulldogs.
