ROUNDUP: Heinz helps Diamondbacks catch up, overcome Chargers

Emily Heinz had 11 kills and 12 digs Friday to rally Desert Oasis’ girls volleyball team to a 19-25, 25-21, 25-12, 25-20 win at Clark.

Kindra Stanfield had 31 assists for the Diamondbacks, who got 18 digs from Summer Bobenhausen.

Jessica Silva tallied 11 kills and two blocks for Clark, and teammate Alexa Springs added eight kills. Michelle Diamante had seven kills for the Chargers.

Arbor View 3, Legacy 0 — At Legacy, Amber Graham tallied 10 kills, five digs and five aces to lead the Aggies to a sweep of the Longhorns.

Tara Wiese dished out 12 assists for Arbor View, which got eight assists, four kills and two aces from Micaila McErlean. Erika Kelly chipped in six kills and three assists for the Aggies.

Bianca Boyt had six kills for Legacy, teammate Angela Foremaster dished out eight assists, and Ashley Goor posted three blocks. 

Faith Lutheran 3, Cheyenne 0 — At Cheyenne, Kelsey McCourt racked up 28 assists and two aces to guide the Crusaders to a 25-8, 25-9, 25-14 sweep of the Desert Shields.

Taylor Richards added eight kills and five aces, and Sam Leonard spiked nine kills for Faith Lutheran.

Brandi Cole served five aces for Cheyenne. Jenna Mecham added two kills and two blocks, and Jasmine Spurlock had two assists for the Desert Shields.

Palo Verde 3, Cimarron-Memorial 0 — At Cimarron, Stephanie Herman’s 29 assists and three aces helped the Panthers to a 25-9, 25-17, 25-20 win over the Spartans.

Kendall Chevall added nine kills and four aces, and Lexi Riggs had three kills for Palo Verde.

Erica Padilla distributed 10 assists for Cimarron. Chalon Henderson added six kills, and Toree Manumaleuna supplied five kills and eight digs for the Panthers.

Sierra Vista 3, Pahrump Valley 1 — At Sierra Vista, the Mountain Lions were 25-18, 15-25, 25-12, 25-19 winners over the Trojans.

Moapa Valley 3, Mojave 0 — At Mojave, McKenzey Stanley dished out 27 assists, and Emma Eira had nine kills and three aces to help the Pirates to a 25-13, 25-11, 25-22 win over the Rattlers.

Celeste Manumaleuna served four aces, and Ashley Dooley had three aces and two kills for Mojave.

Virgin Valley 3, Desert Pines 0 — At Mesquite, Nikki Arquette compiled 20 assists, seven aces and five digs as the Bulldogs swept the Jaguars, 25-19, 25-21, 25-17.

Alora Bonner added seven kills and six aces, and Heidi Lister had five aces and four kills for Virgin Valley, which got seven kills, five aces and five digs from Morgan Cheney.

Calvary Chapel 2-2, Lincoln County 0-0 — At Calvary Chapel, Brooke Davis had 12 digs, 10 assists and two kills in the opener, and 11 assists in the nightcap to lead the Lions to a sweep of the Lynx, 25-19, 25-23 and 25-15, 25-20.

In the first match, Brettani Davis added 12 digs for Calvary Chapel, which got six kills and two blocks from Deja Harris. McKenna Beckwith added four digs and two aces, and Maddy Satelo chipped in three kills for the Lions.

In the nightcap, Harris had 10 kills, and Brettani Davis tallied eight digs for Calvary Chapel.

The Meadows 2-2, Laughlin 0-0 — At Laughlin, Alex Hall had five kills, six assists and four digs in the opening match and four kills, eight assists, four digs and two aces in the nightcap of the Mustangs’ 25-18, 25-19 and 25-11, 25-15 sweep of the Cougars.

Nikki Leonardson added three kills, and Hannah Brown had five kills and two aces in each match for The Meadows.

Also in the opener, Katie Magness and Victoria Onufrieff each had five digs for the Mustangs.
In the nightcap, Onufrieff and Lena Schulhofer each supplied six digs for The Meadows.

Needles 2-2, Agassi Prep 0-1 — At Agassi Prep, the Mustangs won the opener 25-20, 25-21 and claimed the nightcap, 20-25, 25-20, 15-12.

Lund 3, Sandy Valley 0 — At Sandy Valley, the Mustangs were 25-15, 25-12, 25-13 winners over the Sidewinders.

Kenzi Smith put down 10 kills for Sandy Valley, and teammate Lauren Eastham had 10 assists.

Tonopah 3, Adelson School 0 — At Tonopah, Sydney Maughan had eight assists and eight aces to lead the Muckers to a 25-4, 25-20, 25-8 win over the Lions.

Harley Maughan added six aces and five digs, and Elise Salisbury dished out eight assists for Tonopah, which got five kills apiece from Alli Friel and Elaina Dunn.
