ROUNDUP: Horrell paces Gaels in Southwest win

Bishop Gorman’s girls golf team had three of the top five finishers Thursday to cruise to victory in a Southwest League match at Siena.
The Gaels posted a team score of 343. Spring Valley was second at 405, followed by Pahrump Valley at 426, Clark at 470, Desert Oasis at 472, Bonanza at 521 and Sierra Vista at 631.
Spring Valley’s Allison Weiderman took medallist honors with a 6-over-par 78, followed by Gorman teammates Kelly Horrell (83) and Katie DeJesus (85).
Gorman’s Allie Arguello and Spring Valley’s Julia Graham tied for fourth at 86.
Green Valley tops Coronado in dual
At Revere, Alex Kaui and Sarah Thomas each shot a 1-under 35 to lead Green Valley to a 153-167 win over Coronado.
Melanie Chambers carded a 38 for Coronado, and teammate Olivia Greenwald shot 39.
Cimarron wins three-team meet
At Paiute, Kellie Busse and Arianna Bryant each carded a 2-over 38 to lead Cimarron-Memorial to a win in a three-team meet.
The Spartans had a team score of 168. Palo Verde was second at 179, followed by Centennial at 195.
Cimarron’s Aspen Bryant added a 40, and Palo Verde’s Allison Ryu shot 43.
