ROUNDUP: Sigman, Crusaders triumph over Mustangs

Vanessa Sigman posted 13 kills and 12 digs Wednesday as Faith Lutheran’s girls volleyball team captured a 25-18, 25-11, 25-20 win at Shadow Ridge in the Crusaders’ first match since the death of teammate Christina Portaro on Saturday.

Taylor Richards added eight kills, six digs and two aces, and Kelsey McCourt distributed 30 assists for Faith Lutheran.

Taylor Hammer supplied five kills and two blocks for the Crusaders.

Jewelynn Yapching had nine digs for Shadow Ridge.

Sierra Vista 3, Durango 1 — At Durango, Kiana Taitano supplied 21 digs to help the Mountain Lions rally for a 20-25, 25-23, 25-23, 25-15 win over the Trailblazers.

Alexis Land added six blocks and three kills for Sierra Vista.

Sarah Tullis dished out 20 assists, and Mariah Fuentes had 16 digs for Durango, which got eight kills from Alex Cullors.

Clark 3, Spring Valley 0 — At Clark, Katie Kelly dished out 21 assists as the Chargers rolled to a 25-8, 25-17, 25-15 sweep of the Grizzlies.

June Roberts had seven kills, Jessica Silva six kills and Alexa Springs five kills for Clark.

Tori Patterson distributed nine assists, and Nicole Rafay supplied seven kills for Spring Valley.

Arbor View 3, Palo Verde 0 — At Arbor View, Amber Graham put down 14 kills and Erika Kelly added eight kills as the Aggies swept the Panthers, 25-21, 25-17, 30-28.

Stephanie Herman led Palo Verde with 24 assists and six digs, and teammate Faryn Duncan contributed 21 digs.

Cimarron-Memorial 3, Mojave 0 — At Cimarron, Toree Manumaleuna had seven kills and two aces as the Spartans swept the Rattlers, 25-18, 25-13, 25-16.

Mia Hale supplied four kills and five aces, and Jenna-Kaya Charles contributed three kills and six aces for Cimarron.

Celeste Manumaleuna recorded six kills and three aces, and Ashley Dee tallied two kills and two aces for Mojave.

Legacy 3, Cheyenne 0 — At Legacy, Jordyn Vulpi tallied eight assists and five aces, and Jessica Van Alfen supplied eight kills as the Longhorns swept the Desert Shields, 25-19, 25-9, 25-16.

Desert Oasis 3, Western 0 — At Desert Oasis, Courtney Scheller notched 26 assists, and Brittney Jensen had 11 digs to help the Diamondbacks sweep the Warriors, 25-17, 25-20, 25-11.

Emily Heinz added five kills for Desert Oasis.

Carol Riggs had 18 assists and Brittany Moreland contributed seven kills for Western.

Bonanza 3, Pahrump Valley 0 — At Bonanza, Lauren Karn distributed 43 assists, and Bree Hammel had 17 kills and three aces to power the Bengals to a 25-16, 25-22, 25-13 win over the Trojans.

Rykki Rudd had eight kills and three blocks for Bonanza, and Jessica Wilcox added 12 kills and two aces.
