BGHS wrote on February 09, 2010 08:53 PM: every school i see in vegas has division, regional, and state championship banners in their gym.. GORMAN just has state championship (and academic) banners because that is all that matters. besides if we add division banners we wouldnt be able to fit them all. GORMAN wrote on February 09, 2010 08:42 PM: GORMAN raised $10,000 in funds for Haiti. And we've got a population of 1100. I guess im trying to say that us rich kids love to help out in whatever way we can. Gorman does so much for the vegas community as well GORMAN wrote on February 09, 2010 08:37 PM: is the sunset southwest division that bad that desert oasis is in 2nd place? what happend to western?? BTW GORMANs a lock to win state!!! to ball fan wrote on February 09, 2010 04:43 PM: I indeed answered your question regarding if its been done before, simple as that. DO might have been able to truly "earn" the 2 seed if you guys ever played any defense, gave the ball to your big guy down low, and if Mich'l did not take some of the bad shots he does at times. You also need to keep in mind that basketball is the WORST it has EVER been in Las Vegas at the moment. There have NEVER been as many underclassmen (freshman and sophmores) playing varsity as their are this year. It used to be in Las Vegas that if you were an underclassman playing on varsity, you were a LEGIT Division 1 player. I am not hating as the kids have no control over this, but just stating the facts. Hoopfan wrote on February 09, 2010 03:55 PM: I will admit I misread the article. That still doesn't change the fact tha Zach Hafen is overrated. He's an average basketball player. Jeremy wrote on February 09, 2010 10:45 AM: I agree, Legacy's coach should step aside. This team needs a leader & he ain't it. Funny thing is, he really believes he has their best interest when he punishes them for every little thing they do. Hey D-Back Dude! wrote on February 09, 2010 10:37 AM: Never said that WASNT what decides a season. More evidence that you can't read. Just said that if not for that, there IS TRUTH that Western would be in second place. There is also TRUTH that Western beat the mighty D-Backs without said player (whom from my understanding...never played a vital part in their wins or losses). So what's Desert Oasis excuse now? Anyways, back to the original point...Yes it's been done before in a league where Canyon Springs didnt play against Pahrump, Clark, Bonanza, etc...twice. Again, nobody bashed the D-Backs. Just maybe you should just give Western some credit. Maybe you will when they beat the D-Backs AGAIN tomorrow. You seem like a Western "hater". And it doesn't matter if I write a paragraph or a sentence, as long as you hang on my every word...does it really matter? LOL rules are rules wrote on February 09, 2010 09:54 AM: RULES ARE RULES....Western should have followed them....blame it on whom ever you want but ultimatley the KID knew he had been in school for 5 years..........cheaters never win! Good Luck to all teams in the playoffs! The Incident wrote on February 09, 2010 09:34 AM: Western had an "incident"?? SHOCKING!! If you have to forfeit games because you didn't follow rules, that's a part of what decides a season. Like injuries or anything. Is that the first time Western High School had an "incident"? NOT! As usual, it's too bad for the boys who show up and do what they need to do on the court and in the classroom. You are not a "hater" if you answer a question, but you might be a "hater" if you write a long paragrah bashing the 2nd seeded team. :) HAVE A NICE DAY! Read More Comments |
