Needles’ girls volleyball team improved to 6-7 overall and 5-5 in the Class 2A Southern League on Saturday, winning twice at Mountain View by scores of 25-16, 25-12 and 25-17, 25-14.
In the opener, Mountain View’s Kristyn Gonzales had five digs and Charde Page three blocks.
In the second match, Page had three blocks, and Brianna Marruffo added two aces and two digs.
Tonopah 3, Trinity 1 — At Trinity, Sam Kimber had 17 kills to lead the Muckers to a 22-25, 25-4, 25-11, 25-15 win over the Thunder.
Deanna Vanpoucke added five blocks for Tonopah.
The Meadows 2-2, Agassi Prep 0-0 — At Agassi Prep, the visiting Mustangs won by scores of 25-12, 25-15 and 25-16, 25-10.
