Three local high school baseball players have been selected to compete in the USA Baseball National Teams Identification Series from Sept. 18 to 20 in Cary, N.C.
Cimarron-Memorial senior catcher Vinnie Fresquez and Las Vegas High junior infielder Tanner Chauncey and senior outfielder Quinnton Mack will join players from other states at the 18-and-under event.
The trio was chosen based on leading Team Nevada to a 4-0 record at the regional Mountain West Identification Series, said Andy Concepcion, who coaches the team along with former major leaguer Mike Easler.
The trio will play at the event with hopes of eventually landing a spot on the Team USA roster, Concepcion said.
So stupid this means nothing its a pay to play deal oh well thats what you get from going to On Deck the scam in town!
