Valley senior Garic Wharton has a pretty straight forward goal.
“I want to leave my mark as the greatest track runner ever in Nevada,” Wharton said.

Tyree Anderson and Dominique Douglas won two events apiece Wednesday to lead Las Vegas High’s boys track team to a 77-66 win at Valley.
Anderson won the high jump (6 feet, 2 inches) and long jump (19-11), and Douglas took the 800-meter run (2 minutes, 7 seconds) and 1,600 (4:47.9)....

Damon Jones and Sean Kehl each won two events on Tuesday to lift Bonanza’s boys track team to a 91-56 victory at Pahrump Valley.
Jones won the 200-meter dash (23.5 seconds) and 400 (54.2), and Kehl took the shot put (36 feet, 9½ inches) and discus (116-2).
