Pahrump Valley takes Desert Invite title

Pahrump Valley’s Sergio Rodriguez and Micah Nauck won individual titles on Saturday to lead the Trojans to the team crown at the Desert Invitational in Indian Springs.
Rodriguez won the 120-pound title with a pin in 2 minuts, 36 seconds. Nauck was first at 126, winning by pin in 2:43.
Pahrump’s Colton Williams helped with a second-place finish at 160, as the Trojans finished with 202 points. Bonanza was second at 161, and Western third at 156.
Canyon Springs wins crown
At Canyon Springs, the host Pioneers won five individual titles to win the Canyon Springs Invitational with 170½ points.
Basic was second at 121, and Desert Pines was third at 115½.
