2A STATE: Knights keep score in triple digits to claim title

Round Mountain’s girls golf team was the only squad to break 1,000, shooting 955 to claim the Class 2A state golf title at Ruby View Golf Course in Elko.
The Knights shot 483 on Tuesday to win the two-day event. Tayler Sander was Round Mountain’s top individual, shooting 72-over-par 216 to place sixth.
Incline’s Grace Dolan won the individual title. She was the only golfer in the tournament to break 100 both days, finishing at 193.
Battle Mountain’s Bria Jones was second at 196.
Mountain View’s Rachel Horita carded 211 to place fifth.
