CLASS 3A: Medalist Lewis helps Bulldogs cruise to Southern League title

Randi Lewis carded a 6-over-par 78 at The Canyons in Mesquite on Thursday to take medalist honors and lead Virgin Valley’s girls golf team to the Class 3A Southern League title.
Virgin Valley posted a team score of 403 and was the lone Southern League school to qualify for next week’s state meet. Boulder City shot 547, and Moapa Valley did not field four golfers.
Boulder City’s Jordan Syler took second with a 91, followed by Virgin Valley’s Jessica Baeza, who shot 105.
Syler earned an individual berth in the state meet. Also qualiying for state were: Moapa Valley’s Haley Neilson (106), Kaylene Gongos (133) and Ellese Cameron (145), and Boulder City’s Mariah Harvey (117).
